Developer Toolbox

About Developer Toolbox

Developer Toolbox is a free set of tools for everyday development work: formatting JSON, decoding JWTs, testing regular expressions, building cURL commands and more.

One person builds and maintains the site. It has no ads, no accounts and no paid version.

What's here

  • Tools (29) JSON, YAML and CSV, code formatters, encoding and hashing, JWT and UUID, regular expressions, cron, cURL, CSS generators, timestamps and more.
  • Algorithm visualizations (11) Sorting, BFS, DFS, Dijkstra, A* and binary search, step by step, with a page that compares them.
  • Reference Cheatsheets and guides on HTTP status codes, cron, regular expressions and MIME types, in English.

Privacy

Every tool runs in your browser. What you paste or type is processed on your device and sent nowhere: the site has no server that could receive it.

Most tools keep their input in the page address, after the # sign, so a link or the Back button brings it back. That part of the address never reaches the server, but your browser history keeps it.

The tools below usually get tokens, passwords and keys, so they keep their input out of the address bar and the history. A share link with the input is built only when you ask for one, and a reload starts empty.

When you pass their result on with "Send to", it travels in the page's memory, not in the address, and the tool that receives it keeps it out of the address too, until you clear it.

Visits are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not track you across sites. As with any website, the server and Cloudflare see each page request: its address without the part after #, your IP address and your browser. What you enter in a tool is not part of it.

The site keeps two settings in your browser's storage, the theme and the language, and sets no cookies of its own.
